There is no substitute for love. There is nothing to compensate for a lack of love.
All types of Prayer and the gift of tongues is not a substitute for love:
I Corinthians 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. (NASB)
All faith and knowledge is not a substitute for love:
I Corinthians 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge ; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. (NASB)
Giving all that we have is not a substitute for love:
I Corinthians 13:3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. (NASB)
Nothing counts with God till we get back in love and forgiveness. There is no way around it. There is no other way than the narrow road of love.
I John 2:10 The one who loves his brother abides in the Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. (NASB)
