Praying for people who need to grow up in Christ can be hard work. Sometimes, praying for people means speaking the word of God over them in faith. God can do much with the faith filled words coming out of your mouth. Paul did much of this, praying and speaking over the people for which he was responsible.

Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives. Galatians 4:19

We cannot pray that people would do certain things, even if those things are good and godly things. We can pray to the Father and speak over them in faith. God can do the rest. I have heard of people praying for years for certain people without seeing much results, only to start speaking the word of God over them, and see results in weeks. God’s word works, and it can work on anybody. Speak these good things over people and expect good things to happen. (Insert their name if you want)

You walk in the light as He is in the light. You have a new nature. It’s the nature of God. It’s the nature of love, for love is of God and You are of God. You walk in love just like God walks in love because You are of God. You are rooted and grounded in love. Your life and Your actions are based on love. You only speak truth in love, not harsh truth but loving truth. [1 John 1:7, 1 John 4:7, Ephesians 3:17, Ephesians 4:15].

You endure long and You are patient and kind. You are never envious, nor do You boil over with jealousy. You are not boastful, nor do You display myself haughtily, or in an arrogant way. You are never inflated with pride, rude, or unmannerly. You are never self-seeking or insisting on my own rights or way. You are not touchy, fretful, or resentful. You take no account of the evil done to me, and You pay no attention to a suffered wrong. You are not satisfied with injustice but rejoice when righteousness and truth prevail. You bear up under anything. You have love’s strength. You have love’s power. You are always ready to believe the best of every person. Your faith is in God’s love. Your hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and You endure everything without weakening. You never fail, become obsolete, or come to an end. [1 Cor 13:4-7]

You are filled with the fruit of the Spirit. You walk in love. You have joy and peace. You have patience, kindness, goodness, and gentleness. You walk in self-control. [Galatians 5:22]

You don’t walk merely in the intellectual world but you receive the things of the Spirit of God. They make sense to You because You are spiritually discerning. You walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. You are strengthened with all might, according to God’s glorious power. You have patience, longsuffering, and joyfulness. [I Corinthians 2:14, Col 1:9-11]

You are set free because the Son of God has set you free. You have been delivered from the power of darkness and have been transferred over to the Kingdom of His dear Son. You are walking in the light as Jesus is in the light. Jesus, his Son, cleanses You from all sin. You press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. You will eat of the tree of life that is planted in the Paradise of God, and You are open to what the Spirit is saying to You. [John 8:36, Colossians 1:13, I John 1:7, Philippians 3:10, Revelation 2:7]
