Love Believes

Love Believes

God’s love in our heart is the part of us that believes. I have often wondered, what gives one the ability to believe something spoken by the Lord? Two people hear; one believes, and the other does not. What is the deciding factor? Perhaps, the amount of love in the heart at the moment is the key. The more we love the more capacity we have to believe. The Bible also says that, ‘faith works by love,’ and this is how. We have faith when we hear the word of God, and there is enough love in the heart to believe.

Faith is the full assurance of hope (Hebrews 6:11), and the substance (title deed) of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1). Hope is a positive favorable expectation, based on a general knowledge of God’s will. Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word (rhema = living word, not read word) of God (Romans 10:17). Read the Word, and let God speak to you about it. Once you have heard Him, you have faith. It is that simple. It may not be easy, but it is simple.

…So, fill your heart with LOVE, hear from God, and turn your HOPES into substance by FAITH.

Oh, and, faith overcomes the world. The operation of faith can overcome your world. Do not allow your world to overcome you. It’s not you doing the work; it is your FAITH.

“Whoso loves, believes the impossible.” Elizabeth Barret Browning
