Scriptures On Fighting the Enemy

The following are scriptures to use in fighting an enemy, be it the Devil, a demon, or anything else.

The Attitude of Battle – Humility and Obedience to God

“Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the Lord see it, and it displeases Him, and He turn away His wrath from him.” Proverbs 24:17

“If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” Proverbs 25:21

“If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them … you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. I will give you peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.” Leviticus 26:3

He shall cover you with His feather, and under His wings you shall take refugee; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. Fatou – You have to take authority over it in Jesus Name. First – make sure you are saved, read – Born Again and Salvation and pray the prayer out loud from your heart.

Next read these articles about authority in the Name of Jesus:

Authority in the Name of Jesus – Kenneth E. Hagin
Authority in Prayer – Kenneth E. Hagin

      And read this book:

Book – John A. MacMillan – The Authority of the Believer A Classic on Faith.

You need to be spirit filled and speak in tongues. It will fill you with the Holy Spirit and you can stay filled by praying in the spirit. I know this is a lot but it is what it takes. Seek God, read the Bible, and expect Got to lead you out of this. We love you. Rex

      1. Fatou

Thank you so much Rex. Your resources are very uplifting. I will do all what it takes to defeat the demon.

You need to bring Jesus close to your heart and only talk to jesus – there is a website called demonbuster.com but it is more helpful if you have people with you at all times. I know I’m going thru something similar. Read the bible, praise worship god have Christian music on, sing your heart out to god. Find a deliverance ministry if you can, be involved with people who know god.

    Hi Benji

It really really works. Also cover yourself with the armour of God daily.Look for a prayer of the armour of God online. All ways cover yourself in the blood of Jesus.Use scripture as a sword. Is not my word as a fire and hammer that breaks the rocks in pieces. When you start using Gods words it start breaking all the rocks in your life.It takes time to see change but don’t stop swinging because change will surely come.I’m swinging that hammer everyday like there is no tomorrow. It’s 2:30 a.m. I just finished swinging the hammer and going to sleep for 2 hours. Also get in the habit of fasting.Remember things like witchcraft don’t go easily unless we fast.God bless you.

    1. Ellen

      Jennifer,
You are right. I read the 91st Psalm, out loud, while walking around the outside of my home. I start close to the house and expand until I’ve covered the property to the tree line. Scripture states there is power in our words “death and life are in the power of the tongue”. We must read the Word out loud to defeat the enemy!
      Shalom
