Scriptures For Childbearing

Within the confines of marriage, it is God’s will for you to conceive and give birth to a healthy wonderful child. Read and confess these scriptures until faith drops into your heart. You will know when it does, just like one knows when they are pregnant. The Bible says that everything is like a seed, everything after its own kind. And again, like everything else we can receive from God, it comes through faith:

Through faith did Sarah herself also receive bodily power for the conception of seed, even when past the age of maternity, simply because she felt that He who had given the promise was true and faithful. Hebrews 11:11 A.S Way Translation

He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD! Psalm 113:9

I am come that (you) might have life, and that (you) might have it more abundantly. John 10:10b

Confess these scriptures and get them down deep in your heart. Others can pray for you, and we will pray for you, but you are the best one to pray for you and successful prayer comes through faith. The more you ‘know’ the will of God concerning a certain thing the more access to God you will have on that thing. Once God speaks to you and confirms the promise to you heart, you have it. Then all you have to do is speak it out, act on it, and with patiently for it. Speak and meditate on the following scriptures until they become a part of you:

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:28

After the flood God again commanded Noah and his family and said, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” Genesis 9:1

Isaac pleaded with the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was unable to have children. The LORD answered Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant (with twins). Genesis 25:21

Then Esau looked at the women and children and asked, “Who are these people with you?” “These are the children God has graciously given to me, your servant,” Jacob replied. Genesis 33:5

“The midwives answered Pharaoh, ‘Hebrew women (God-fearing women) are not like Egyptian women, they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.’” Exodus 1:19 Lord, thank you that I have vigor and strength to deliver this child you have given us!

“The Lord is my strength and my song. He had become my salvation.”  Exodus 15:2 Lord, You are my song in the light and in the dark. I will always sing to you, my Savior and my strength.

You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. Deuteronomy 7:14

If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the LORD your God: Deuteronomy 28:1-2, 4, 11

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27 Hannah’s prayers for a child were answered.

“It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:33 Lord, You make the way of our baby’s delivery perfect. You cause my body to be strong and work perfectly in order to glorify yourself in the delivery of our child.

“In my distress I called to the Lord, I cried to God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” Psalm 18:6 Lord, I call to you for any help I will ever need, no matter what my situation. I call on You first… and you hear my call.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” Psalm 46:1-2 Lord, You are the only ever-present one. Thank you for being with us during labor and delivery. I will not fear.

For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalm 84:11

He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD! Psalm 113:9

“Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” Psalm 119:165

Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward. As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth. Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalms 127:3, 4, 5

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Psalm 128:3

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” Psalm 139:14 Lord, You made me. You created me to carry and deliver children. Thank you for making me in such a wonderful fashion.

“A heart at peace gives life to the body.” Proverbs 14:30

“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3 Lord, You are my supernatural, perfect peace. I know your peace and will know it during labor and delivery of this child. My focus is on You and your goodness.

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Isaiah 40:30-31 Lord, You will renew my strength during delivery. My strength will not wear out because it is from You and my hope is in You.

“So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 Because You, Lord, are staying with me throughout my labor and delivery, I have no reason to fear.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you…” Isaiah 43:2 Lord, thank you for not leaving us alone. Thank you for being with our baby as it passes through the waters in my womb.

“I, even I, am He who comforts you.” Isaiah 51:12 Thank you, Holy Spirit, for always being my comfort. You always bring the comfort I need.

“…and great will be your children’s peace (shalom).” Isaiah 54:13

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. Isaiah 66:9

But the angel said to him, Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. Luke 1:13, 14

Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though he knew that he was too old to be a father at the age of one hundred and that Sarah, his wife, had never been able to have children. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Romans 4:17-18

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 Lord, I confess I can do this through You. It is You who gives me strength.

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 11:11

But You are He who took Me out of the womb. You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts. I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God. Psalms 22:9-10

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. Isaiah 66:9

Fight fear with all you have. Remember, the presence of fear does not mean danger, it just indicates the presence of fear. We, with the help of the devil, make the connection to danger. See – Scriptures Against Fear

Jesus loves infants and children!

Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. Jesus said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Luke 18:15-16

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me. Matthew 18:1-5

I trust the God that we all have been praying to on this platform. Please I need your prayers.. today my husband went for a seminal analysis and they said he had 0% total sperm count. We have been trying for over a year now. Please raise your voice for my sake. Let the God who has fearfully and wonderfully made my husband change the result. He will be going for a confirmation in few days time. I want to be an expectant mother before the end of this year. God bless you as you stand in the gap for us.

I first want to thank you all for being supportive of one another. It’s truly uplifting to read things like this. My husband and I have been trying for three years to conceive a child. I know that through God all things are possible. I know that I must be patient and wait on the Lord for he’s always on time. I am so blessed and I thank you God for all that you have done for my husband and I. I ask that you all keep us lifted in prayer. We pray that one day we’ll be able to carry a child full term. We get discouraged at times but it’s wonderful to know that others are praying for you as well. Please keep us in your prayers as we will do the same. God bless you all.

It is as you say it is, Sitofe. There is no one greater than our God. He deserves our faith; it is senseless to be disheartened by doctors who don’t acknowledge the Great Physician whose Name is in our hearts. Thank you for talking to me straight up about the truth. GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY.

  13. Lynette

God is a God of time and season. I pray that in His own time He will beautify your lifes all you waiting mothers. Has He said and would He not bring it to pass. He has declared in the books of Psalm 113v9, and in psalm 127v3 which says that Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of womb is His reward. I know that His words can not return back to Him void without fulfilling His aim of the spoken words. I join my faith with yours to pray that it must surely come to pass. One thing I know is that in the end all Glory must be given unto God. He is able and He will do it. Remain blessed In Jesus Name.

My husband and I were referred to a fertility doctor when I mentioned to our family doctor that we are trying to conceive. Today was our first appointment. He told me that we have a 0% chance of conceiving with my eggs simply because I’m 45, regardless of my good health and regular menstrual cycle.
When we married a year ago, I moved to a new country. I came from a precious family of faith where we know, love and pray for one another. We ‘d encourage each other in Christ through all kinds of trials. Despite earnest searching for that here, we have found no one to share this burden. It has been a lonely, cold year. Today I broke down and feel unable to stand. Will someone please pray for me?

    1. christabel
